Arctic Motorcycle Adventures Is Riding The Arctic
Arctic Motorcycle Adventures is a tourism outfitter attracting a lot of attention. Lawrence Neyando took a big risk starting the Northwest Territories’ first Indigenous owned motorcycle adventure company. However, Lawrence’s new business is already prosperous.
The new Inuvik – Tuktoyaktuk Highway (ITH) is getting a lot of publicity. Many riders dream about driving to the “end of the road”. Lawrence is giving these riders the opportunity to experience a trip of a lifetime.
Lawrence is proud of his land and its people. In addition to taking tourists on the Dempster and ITH, Lawrence is also providing his guests cultural tours. This provides Lawrence’s riders an exciting and authentic tourism experience. It’s something that makes Lawrence’s new tourism business totally unique.
The Western Arctic Business Development Corporation provided Lawrence a start-up loan and helped him successfully apply to the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment for SEED funding through the Support for Entrepreneurs and Economic Development Program.
Lawrence said that the Western Arctic Business Development Corporation helps him a lot. Its business counseling, ongoing assistance, and financial support give Lawrence the support he needs to operate his tourism business.
Lawrence passion and enthusiasm for motorcycle riding is infectious. He already has riders singing his praises. They love Lawrence’s tours and they love the Beaufort Delta’s Indigenous culture.
The Western Arctic Development Corporation is happy for Lawrence and wishes him continued success.
