Grise Fiord (pop. 129) is the most northerly Inuit community in Canada. Located at the southern tip of Ellesmere Island, nestled among majestic mountains at the head of a stunning fiord, it is one of the most isolated communities in Nunavut. Grise Fiord was settled initially by families from Port Harrison, Quebec, and Pond Inlet in 1953.
