Kinngait (pop. 1,441) on southwestern Baffin Island is the site of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative, home of some of Nunavut’s most famous artists. There are Thule, Dorset and Inuit archaeological sites nearby at Mallikjuaq Territorial Park.
