Pine Point is an abandoned town in the South Slave region of the Northwest Territories. It existed from 1964 until 1988. The town served the local Pine Point Mine, an open-pit lead and zinc operation. At its height in the 1970s, more than 1,200 people lived in the town, which is located along Highway 5 south of Great Slave Lake, between Hay River and Fort Resolution. Some buildings in the community were moved to other towns after its closure, and the rest were demolished. The street layouts are still visible.
