A Nice Place For A Drink

“I was fresh off the plane in July 2008,” says senior editor Herb Mathisen of the Storehouse. “The sealift had just come in and the lounge was now serving bottled beers. After a winter stuck with cans of Bud and Canadian [ed. and nothing on tap throughout the territory] I watched my new friends savour bottled Corona. Summer at long last!”

It can be hard to break into the Iqaluit nightlife without a few local friends, but a dancefloor always helps. The Storehouse is a bumping, popular spot to grab food and drink and then shake your hips. (And it’s one of the nicest looking joints in town.)
