Kalilah Olson, a Tr'ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation youth, skins a bull moose she shot off the Dempster Highway just hours earlier. The Tr'ondëk Hwëch’in honour every part of the animal, especially the head. The moose later fed visitors at the Moosehide Gathering—a weekend of dancing, drumming, singing, storytelling and, obviously, eating.
